Do Hotel Guests Care More About IAQ Than Other Amenities?
According to a new report, hotel guests consider clean air as one of their top considerations when selecting accommodations for an upcoming trip. The U.S. and Canadian survey of respondents who stayed in a hotel during the last year ranked indoor air quality (IAQ) ahead of these popular hotel offerings: Free breakfast; free parking; loyalty program points; and fitness amenities.
According to the Energy Efficiency Movement, heat exchangers, used widely in building heating and air conditioning, refrigeration, and data center and fuel cell cooling, are rarely maintained adequately. This lack of maintenance, according to the report, could account for up to 2.5% of global carbon emissions – roughly the equivalent of the entire airline industry. And new heat exchangers can be up to 25% more efficient than old ones.

It may be cold outside, but your commercial HVAC keeps humming away because not only is it charged with keeping you cool in the summer, but it is also responsible for maintaining the temperature during the winter. However, that should not stop you from taking some necessary steps to keep it running. If you think your commercial HVAC needs maintenance, we can help!
