From the desk of Claudia Owens

Welcome to the revival of the Legacy Leaders Newsletter! I hope this correspondence finds you well. Please let this edition function as an introduction, to some, of me as the new Senior Fellow with the Cleveland Leadership Center (CLC). I also direct the Advanced Leadership Institute (ALI) and support other CLC programs as needed.

My role is to look for areas and meaningful opportunities in the community to keep you engaged and active within the civic landscape. Legacy Leaders are positioned to be transformational leaders who can guide our community forward by advancing projects that come to CLC, consulting with organizations, participating in educational forums, coaching and mentoring rising leaders, and helping to advance CLC’s mission.

For example, for those of you familiar with CLC’s Accelerate, Legacy Leaders are needed to advise those submitting pitches and to work with the finalists as they seek to implement their innovative ideas. Our work with applicants and finalists supports our mission to shape the leaders and innovators of today to ensure a vibrant future.

A lot is happening at Cleveland Leadership Center and Legacy Leaders are working to support those efforts and continue providing ways for experienced leaders to remain connected and civically active in Cleveland. I invite you to continue working with CLC as a Legacy Leader. You will be hearing from me very soon with new opportunities. I look forward to meeting with you!
