We are partnering with The Dayton Foundation Encore program to create a state-wide dialogue aimed at changing the conversation and language around the 50+ community to identify safe recreational walking, jogging, and biking trails throughout the state to share when traveling statewide. The vision for this project is a collaborative effort to ensure safe mobility and promote health. The "end" product could be a guide to “Age-Friendly outdoor recreational trails throughout the 71 S Corridor.” We are also planning podcast on “Let’s Get Moving, Biking, Walking.”
If these activities sound of interest to you and you would like to join in, please contact me or 216-650-3312.

February 1, 2023, applications will open for the ALI Class of 2024. As a Legacy Leaders we ask for your participation in the eight month program called Advanced Leadership Institute: Inspired by the Legacy of Carl and Louis Stokes. This program covers the five social concerns Carl Stokes used as his platform and to shape his Cleveland Now agenda. The areas are Health, Education, Workforce, Public Safety, and Housing.

Legacy Leaders are asked to participate in at least four (4) of the eight (8) sessions. Legacy Leaders mentor two cohorts within the program: Jr. Fellows from Cuyahoga Community College’s Mandel Scholars Academy and Stokes Fellows (individuals from the area ranging in age and profession).
