From the Flight Deck
Greetings!
This week as we wrapped up testing, students participated in Spirit Week. It was great seeing everyone in their winter attire. This week we also say farewell to one of our Jets, Mrs. Espinoza, who is retiring. We want to thank you for all your years of service.

As we enter Winter Break, please take time to rest, recharge and spend time with friends and family. When we return in 2022 a lot of things are planned for students to help lead them to success. I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday!

Testing
Middle of the Year Testing Update
This week concluded all of our middle of the school year testing. We reached our percentages of students that needed to be tested. Thank you to our testing coordinator Ms. Evelyn Perez for all your hard work. When we return from Winter Break teachers will use this data to help drive instruction. Students will also be receiving their incentive for showing iReady Growth or scoring in the green, blue or black on their 8th grade science, Civics, Algebra or Geometry PMAs.
Flight Hour Information
The Flight Hour is an intervention period that will take place every Tuesday and Thursday starting January 11 and ending April 21. The goal is to help focus on some of our students who need small group or one-on-one instruction with their teacher to support the mastery of some of the standards they need support in.
Legacy Dancers at Gaylord Convention Center
The Legacy Dancers performed at Gaylord Palms on 12/11 at the Convention Center and brought lots of Holiday spirit. They represented Legacy extremely well and the community was very supportive.
Chorus Concert
Chorus had their concert this past week. This was last in a string of stellar performances by our wonderful performing arts department. The students did a great job! Thank you Ms. Powers for all your hard work with our Legacy students.
Dance News from Ms. J. Perez
Season's Greetings!
I want to once again thank you all for the overwhelming love and support on Tuesday night, December 7th, at the Holiday Dance Showcase! My students were so respectful, supportive of one another, and danced incredibly well! Attached I have the dance photos and video that Mr. Brown has graciously and professionally taken.

Grades have been posted by me. I have given all students ample time to complete any missing work that they owed. If students do not have enough time in class they may complete their work at home. Success is my goal. If students are less than successful, then they are not putting in the time or the effort. There has to be a healthy balance between extra-curricular activities and school. For some it is a learning curve, for others they understand grades are just as important as performance. Thank you parents for your support here and enjoy the following videos!
