From the Flight Deck
Legacy Community Member
We hope you all enjoyed your President’s Day weekend!

Progress Reports are now available on Skyward Family access. All students received an email from me with their progress monitoring assessment scores from PM1 compared to PM2. Please take a moment and review your child’s scores with them. We finished last week by celebrating our students that improved 15 points or more on their Progress Monitoring assessment, or earned proficiency in ELA or Math with a pizza party! Our students were appreciative of this token of recognition and we look forward to celebrating success again after our end of year testing in May!

Track season is upon us. Tryouts will take place the week of the 26th. If your child is interested in Track, please ensure that a sports physical is on file with Athletic Director Rummel via Aktivate

Enjoy this week’s brief. We have a wide variety of photos that showcase the amazing happenings taking place around the flight deck.

Have a wonderful week, Jets!

Mar. 6: Tdap Vaccinations – Clinic
The state of Florida requires students to have all of their required immunizations in order to attend school. This is a reminder, if you have an eleven-year-old they are eligible for the Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis immunization also known as Tdap. This is a required shot before entering 7th grade and required documentation is needed to be turned into the school.

If you would like additional information just visit ImmunizeFlorida.org. Those with private insurance or Medicaid can go directly to their medical care provider and obtain these same services. On

Once your child receives the immunization, you’ll need to submit the Florida 680 form that the doctor gives you to the school.

The following vaccines are required for children entering preschool and grades K-12: Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis(whooping cough), measles, mumps, rubella, polio, varicella (chickenpox) and hepatitis B.

Visit ImmunizeFlorida.org to learn more about the required immunizations.

Please visit our school website for consent forms.
IMPORTANT PARENT LETTER
and Daily Attendance Reminder
------------------
Average Daily Attendance
Parents, please review our Average Daily Attendance (ADA) counts and percentages below:

Last 7 school days: 92.50%

Last 30 school days: 90.83%

School year-to-date: 91.25%

When students are absent, they miss nuanced instruction and the benefit of learning alongside their peers. While Canvas will always provide students with assignments and a record of work to be completed, our instructional superstar teachers aren’t able to reach students when they’re absent.

Please ensure that your child attends school every day.

The puppets don't actually have full bodies; only the head, hands, legs, and feet are crafted. These are connected with string while the torso is simulated using a kimono.
Students in Mr. Feinberg’s 8th Grade ELA took part in a Readers' Theater by performing the short story "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut.
Students in Mr. De Zayas’s Art class worked on awareness posters using persuasive art.
