Jets compete on the road in Lakeland.
Our Debate team traveled to their second Incubate Debate event in Lakeland, FL. We showed a lot of improvement overall from our last tournament, with Orlando Stewart-Lopategui making it all the way to the semifinal round. Everyone was really excited for this improvement. In addition, both Orlando Stewart-Lopategui and Valeria Fiallos earned the Ernest Hemingway Award for showing the most growth throughout the tournament. We were pleased to see the support that we received from parents and the numerous compliments that we received from both spectators and participants on how sharply dressed our team presented in their new Legacy Jets blazers!

Valeria Fiallos and Orlando Stewart Lopategui receipients of the Earnest Hemingway Award for most improvement. | | |

About the Challenge
All OCPS students, employees, families, and community members are encouraged to participate in the Let’s Read, OCPS! challenge by individually reading at least 500 minutes throughout the challenge.
