We were able to provide our students with a unique learning experience on the perils of social media and provided awareness to our Jets on how to stay safe online. Were you aware that Florida ranks 3rd in the nation for human trafficking? This sobering statistic serves as our impetus to do everything in our power to ensure that our students are safe both on the flight deck and online. I strongly encourage you to attend our parent night on Tuesday to learn how to protect your child from the dangers of social media and online perils.

Veterans Day is this Monday, November 11. Legacy Middle School thanks every Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman and Coast Guardsman for their service. And we ask all Americans to say a prayer of thanks for those who are serving far away from family and friends. Without their service and sacrifice, we wouldn’t have the opportunity to cherish our many freedoms for the extraordinary gifts they are.
Thank you for reading.
Warm regards,
Jason Jiménez

Hello, Legacy Jets. LMS is once again doing Builder’s Club for the 2024-2025 school year.
What is Builders Club?
Builders Club is a volunteering group whose mission is to teach youth leadership through service. Planning and taking part in service projects is a great way for club members to gain leadership skills and make a difference in the community. Would you like to help do some good for your community?
Talk to Mr. Kamperveen in room 605 about signing up. You could choose to help our own Legacy Middle school, preschool children, the elderly, the community as a whole or even its animal population. Who we end up specifically helping will be as much up to the students who sign up as it is to Mr. Kamperveen who will be leading the club.
So, sign up for Builders Club to help service Orange County. More hands make lighter work!

Dance All-County
PCongrats to our 3 Dancing Jets—Analyssa Saintilus, Katherine Fehl, and Aimee Adams—for making it into the Dance All-County piece this year in the style of Bollywood! They have worked so hard on their audition at Orlando Ballet last week! I am so proud of them and can't wait to see what this amazing piece will look like at Dance Performance Assessments! DPA is a prestigious opportunity where dancers from Orange County Public School learn several etudes in the styles of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and African and are adjudicated. The valuable feedback received is essential to the dancers' training.
