Electronic Evidence has become an integral part of all criminal investigations. This evidence becomes a silent witness that provides valuable evidence to secure arrests and convictions. This course will focus on legal issues concerning the collection, preservation, and use of electronic evidence recovered from cellular devices and social media. Attendees will be provided a step-by-step overview on the “How To” collection of data from both cellular phones and social media, with a focus on preservation requests, search warrants, and introduction of the evidence at trial.
