The Tom Wood Group Indianapolis Speedrome Powered by Lincoln Tech completed its racing season on Saturday September 22, 2018 with a great evening of exciting action. Our friends at Jacob-Dietz Fire Protection Specialists presented this night of racing. The Superior Finish Lawn & Landscape INEX Legends had their penultimate touring points event. Fast time Ryan Miller marched from his 11th starting position to take top honors in the 35-lap main. Youngster Sam Butler was second followed by John Robbins, Marty Griffin, and Chris Weddle.
The Brown’s Oil Service Late Models had a 75-lap Figure 8 presented by United Auto Parts. Reigning World Figure 8 Champion Mark Tunny set quick time and drew a 9-invert for the race. Kentucky’s Artie B. Ware led the way for the first portion. Jesse and Austin Tunny slipped past midway and put on an incredible battle the rest of the way home thrilling all the fans. Austin came out on top at the checkers and earning the $2,000 prize. Mark was third followed by Eddie VanMeter and Ware.
