Special Edition Saluting Independence Day
FOURTH OF JULY IN PACIFIC PALISADES
FROM COMMANDER JIM CRAGG:
Our flag, the Star and Stripes, is the intersection between the veteran and the citizen. That beautiful cloth that we sacrificed and many bled for, wraps those citizens in the freedom and security that they enjoy. And the day we both celebrate that flag is July 4th. It is fitting that Ronald Reagan Palisades Post 283 is a major supporter of the Palisades Americanism Parade (a founder in fact) where little kids and rusty old veterans meet in a gathering of patriotism to behold “Old Glory” as she passes in parade. I want to thank all of our Post members, Sons, and Auxiliary who put hours into making the parade happen every year. They bring America to every Palisades family.

Respectfully,

Jim Cragg
