The General Assembly returned to Columbia on Tuesday and passed supplemental appropriations to the FY 2026-27 state budget. H. 3305, as amended, includes community investment projects, commonly referred to as earmarks.
Under the agreement, the bill includes approximately $131 million for Senate projects compared to $220 million for House projects. To reduce the $320 million in House projects initially proposed in the budget, leadership agreed to fully fund projects:
- relating to first responders or public safety

$300,000 or less in the House list
The remaining House projects over $300,000 were reduced by approximately 39%, and all funding for non-profit organizations was removed.
