Roanoke Regional Chamber Releases 2020 Legislative Agenda
In preparation for the 2020 Virginia General Assembly legislative session, the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce has released its legislative priorities. Areas of concentration include continued focus on the I-81 improvement package and other regional transportation funding priorities, Certificate of Public Need reform, and increased funding for post-secondary education initiatives that expand workforce training among many other issues of importance. Creation of the 2020 legislative agenda was a collaborative effort among industry leaders and stakeholders and can be viewed here.

The public policy team will be visiting with area legislators in the coming weeks to promote Chamber priorities and to begin lobbying efforts in advance of session.
Election Center Website is Live
In partnership with the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and other regional chambers statewide, the Roanoke Regional Chamber is pleased to report that the 2019 Election Center website is now active. This site contains video of candidate interviews, questionnaire results, and other election resources that will help inform members of the business community on where candidates stand on important business issues. This is a fantastic tool to help you learn more about who's running for the Virginia House of Delegates and Senate, so please take some time to familiarize yourself with the Election Center and make sure you are registered to vote this November.
