Vacation Rentals (Oppose)

SB 280 (DiCeglie) relating to vacation rentals will be considered by the Senate Fiscal Policy Committee on Thursday, January 18 at 1:30 p.m.


The League is opposed to SB 280 in its current form. Click here to view the letter FLC sent to Senator DiCeglie, the bill sponsor, expressing the League’s concerns with the bill. The House companion bill, HB 1537 (Griffitts), is in the House Regulatory Reform & Economic Development Subcommittee awaiting consideration. HB 479 (Robinson, W.) relating to mobility funding systems will be considered by the House Ways & Means Committee on Wednesday, January 17 at 10:30 a.m. The League supports this bill.

Expedited Approval of Residential Building Permits (Oppose)

HB 665 (McClain), dealing with the expedited approval of residential building permits, will be considered by the House Regulatory Reform & Economic Development Subcommittee on Wednesday, January 17 at 8:00 a.m. The League opposes this bill. It’s important to note that this legislation only applies to cities with a population over 30,000.
