RESIDENTIAL BROADBAND ACCESS BILL ONE STEP CLOSER
On February 18, the Ohio House passed House Bill 2. HB 2 creates a residential broadband program within the Ohio Development Services Agency (DSA).

OHIO CHAMBER BILL TO MODERNIZE OHIO'S OVERTIME LAWS GETS FIRST HEARING IN THE SENATE
Members of the Ohio Senate Ways & Means Committee heard sponsor testimony on February 17 from Sen. Andrew Brenner and Sen. Bob Peterson on an Ohio Chamber priority bill. The legislation – Senate Bill 47 – will benefit Ohio employers who in response to the coronavirus have shifted hourly workers to work from home settings by limiting their risk of costly wage and hour litigation.

MEGA SITE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BILL REINTRODUCED

On February 17, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce submitted written testimony in support of Senate Bill 45. This legislation is needed because it codifies certain development tools that can be quickly activated if a big project is under consideration.
