The snow did not stop the wheels of our legislative branch from moving forward for the second week of the 55th Legislative Session. Wednesday marked the halfway point and the last day for any new introductions. As of today, 609 bills were introduced and of those, NMAR is tracking 99 bills, memorials and resolutions that affect our industry.
One bill of special note this week is HB158. We sent out a Call to Action and asked you to virtually attend and voice your opposition to this bill. Although the committee started later closer to 4:00 pm than the scheduled 1:30 pm time, HB158 was rolled over to a later date. We thank everyone who attended and was ready to voice their opinion against HB158, we will keep you posted on the progression of this bill.
