Administrative Message
Dear LHS Patrons,
While we have not experienced moving to a hybrid model at Lehi, many other schools have, and they acknowledge how difficult the change is for teachers and students to move in and out of different models. In a district meeting with the Utah County Health Department Wednesday, there was a discussion about NOT moving any of our schools to the hybrid model through Christmas break. The UCHD is supportive of this approach.
With face-to-face, online learning, quarantining, and various other reasons that have affected students’ attendance, we have a significant number of students with low grades. This is a trend that we are seeing district wide. In an effort to build in some additional intervention time, the district has decided that the last two days of the term will be consultation days at secondary schools. This means students that need to come into the school to work with teachers to make up work or take tests will do so, otherwise, students will be home finishing things up online.
  • Tuesday, December 15 will be the last day that ALL secondary students will come to school face to face.
  • Friday, December 18 is a minimal day. Teachers will only be available to students during the normal minimal day hours.
  • Busses will run on both December 17 and 18. They will run on the regular modified schedule on December 17 and the minimal day schedule on December 18.
  • Lunches for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be "grab and go" and can be picked up on Tuesday after school (for all three days).
  • East Shore students will be allowed to test on both December 17 and 18.
  • After school extra-curricular activities can continue as planned on December 17 and 18 (concerts, ball games, etc).
  • The Special Education team is meeting with their teacher leaders tomorrow (Friday) morning to talk through the plan for Life Skills students on the two consultation days. Watch for more information.
As you may have seen, a survey about the secondary model for the second semester went to parents Wednesday. We invite all parents to review the email that was sent and take the survey if they have not yet done so.
It is our goal to end strong in 2020!  We appreciate your support during the challenges we are facing this year. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
LHS Administration

Message to Lehi Community Re: Attending Winter Sporting Events
Due to the current state health mandates, we will not be selling tickets to the general public at this time for home boys/girls basketball and wrestling games. It is strictly for parents of athletes only. We will announce ticket availability if/when mandates change.
Congratulations!
Avery Shewell was named 1st Team All State Volleyball by the Deseret News. Way to represent Lehi!
Technology Resources for Parents
Our Alpine School District Team has developed a series of website resources for parents and students that can be used to help navigate the basics of online technology. To access these resources, navigate to our district website (http://www.alpineschools.org/), mouse over the Family & Students menu at the top, and then click on the Parent/Guardian Tech Tips link under the Parents category. They can also be accessed directly by visiting https://alpineschools.org/guardian-tech/. PTA Particulars
This year we are inviting parents who have an Amazon account to select our school as a charity you would like to give money to.  Smile.amazon.com is a way you can pair your account with the Lehi High School PTSA. We use the money to show gratitude to the high school staff. (meals, treats, gift cards)
The smile.amazon.com site will give a portion of each qualifying purchase to the Lehi High School PTSA.  Simply go to "smile.amazon.com" and it will ask you which charity you would like to donate to. Our name is "PTA Utah Congress Lehi High PTSA."
You can Shop and Give - win, win for everyone.
