The HOSA (Future Health Professions) Presidency attended the annual Utah Leadership Conference on October 1st accompanied by their advisors Dan Rice and Janice Bentley.
Christian Moody, Bri White, Jada Garza, Tamara Yabar, Christine Layne(President), Andy Nieto, Carsten Adair, and Grant Livaudais.
They spent the day learning how to be effective leaders, meeting members from other schools around the state and planning activities for they upcoming year.
The state HOSA competition is in March and students will start preparing to compete in a variety of events such as biomedical debate, medical innovations, persuasive writing, public speaking, medical knowledge tests, public health, etc.
We are exciting for the upcoming year and all the energy this presidency is putting into Lehi HOSA.

2020 AP Exam Registration Critical Dates
  IMPORTANT:  Please understand that these deadlines and dates are firm and must be adhered to in order to take AP exams. If you miss a deadline, or don’t pay, you will not be able to take any AP exams this year.     The cost of each exam is $94
 Monday October 7 First day  to order exams in financial office or online at  www.myschoolfees.com .
 Wednesday November 14th  LAST day  to order exams in Financial office or online.
 Thursday January 15 :   Last day  to submit accommodations for the AP exam.

Driver's Education
Starting this year, all students taking drivers education through Alpine School District will be required to attend a Zero Fatalities presentation with a parent. These presentation will be offered throughout the state and you can attend at any school. Visit  https://zerofatalitiesut.com  to see what dates are offered at each school. This is a state run program and necessary to attend with a parent to obtain a drivers license. See attached flyer for details. 
Earning a CTE Pathway can lead to higher paying jobs directly out of High School due to experience earned in class. Internship is one of many CTE classes offered at Lehi High School, which will give the student direct work experience. CTE is a great way to get a jump start on a future career!
If you know of a student interested in earning a CTE Pathway (link below), please talk with the CTE Specialist Teri Drew in room 154 (ext. 154) or to his/her counselor.
