Janice Bentley a Health, Sports Medicine, Intro to Health Science, and Athletic Trainer at Lehi High School. She has been teaching for 5 years and has worked at Lehi High for 10 years.
She enjoys mountain biking, hiking, laying by the pool, and going to the dog park in her free time. Janice also enjoys

Netflix Documentaries and Originals. She has two furbabies - Willow, 2 1/2 years old (labradoodle) and Kitten, 17 years old (old grumpy cat). She loves Lehi. This was her first job out of college as an Athletic Trainer and she liked it so much that when she was asked to teach, she decided to get her teaching license. She loves the small town feel and that everyone "kinda" knows everyone else.

School started a day early for Physics teachers Peter Edmondson and Mary Seamons. Many students and teachers were outside, just north of the school watching the Great American Solar Eclipse on Aug.21st. There were solar eclipse glasses, telescopes and binoculars with solar filters, pinhole viewers and even a projection into the school hallway of an image of the sun. Many ooed and awed at the simplicity of seeing images on the sidewalk from their crisscrossed fingers or even from the light passing between the leaves of trees. Some found they could get photos either with a solar filter or through one of the telescopes.
The moon cast a shadow on the earth during this time and during the peak 90% of the sun was blocked for us here in Lehi. During the peak of the eclipse, the temperature dropped by around 5 degrees with a noticeable darkening of the sky. The effect, while not as great as for those in the path of totality, was still impressive and deepened our appreciation for the star we call home.
