National Athletic Trainer Month
Athletic Trainers are impacting change in health care. Together with doctors, coaches, school administrators, military leaders, government officials, performing arts organizations and legislators, ATs are reshaping how injuries are treated and, more importantly, prevented. The future of health care requires action before, during and after an injury, and ATs Impact Health Care Through Action.

In honor of National Athletic Training Month here are a few photos of our Sports Medicine Classes practicing the essential skill of ankle taping. Students have been learning each step of the process and are perfecting their taping techniques each class period. If you have a student in Sports Medicine, ask them to tape your ankle!

Little Learners-Now Enrolling
Please Vote
Early in the year, some of our students entered artwork and an essay into the Lenovo Traveling Storybook contests, talking about the future of education. Turns out their artwork and essay were chosen as one of the top ten in the country, and was animated by a professional company. Now they have been shared with the public and whichever gets the most votes, gets $25000 for their school. Please join me in supporting our student's work and VOTE FOR LEHI HIGH SCHOOL!!

Voting ends March 19th

There will also be discussions about becoming emotionally self-reliant to develop more love, confidence, positive emotions, moral behavior and grit. Please let your parents know that they are invited to attend any of the following at 7 PM:

Keeping Teens Safe Online
Sponsored by School Community Council
Connect Safely is a non-profit dedicated to educating users of connected technology about safety, privacy, and security. They provide some great resources for parents, educators, and our kids.
They have a Parent's Guide to TikTok teaching about safety controls along with many other parent's guides, tips, and advice, including how parents and teachers can help their children/students prevent online hate speech. Did you know the number one solution is to approach the targets or speakers of hate speech with empathy?
Finally, they have a Family Smartphone Pledge that both kids and parents sign. It puts the terms of usage in writing, everyone puts their name on it, and you can post it somewhere in your home where it can be referred to often.
Technology is not a bad thing. It can be used for so much good globally. Keeping our kids from using any form of social media or technology is not realistic, but we as parents and educators need to model and teach the youth how to properly use it.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction is well underway! Thank you for your patience with the parking lot. The new athletic wing, including the main gym and the first auxiliary gym are done! Projects are moving ahead, and we are excited to see them finished. For more details about construction plans, timelines, and pictures of the progress, please visit our construction page at...
