Dear RHRP Vision Providers,
Some critical areas of performance have been identified to meet all the requirements of RHRP. Review the following areas to address quality components and improve RHRP examinations and assessments.
Scope
-
Accurate and complete vision examinations are essential for identifying uncorrected vision issues that could compromise a Service Member’s ability to perform their duties safely and effectively, especially in deployed environments. Vision problems that go undetected or untreated can affect marksmanship, navigation, equipment use, and overall situational awareness.
- Contact lens fittings and the direct manufacture of eyewear are not authorized under any circumstances. The prescription (Rx) you provide to RHRP enables us to order eyewear through the approved Department of Defense (DOD) entity.
Billing
- Do not perform any additional services other than those approved by LQTC as noted on the 201 Service Bill.
- LQTC will not reimburse a provider for services without prior authorization from the Department of Defense (DoD).
-
It is not necessary to Bill LQTC. Under no circumstances should providers send invoices to Service Members.
Reporting
-
This is a paperless process. All reports are required to be signed and submitted electronically in the LQTC Provider Portal. Providers/staff must complete the appropriate forms within the Service Member's appointment within 48hours to allow the assessment to be sent to the corresponding service component.
No Show Documentation
If a Service Member does not show up for their scheduled appointment, providers/staff must document the no-show in the Provider Portal. This allows LQTC to promptly follow up with the Service Member to reschedule and ensures providers are compensated appropriately for their time.
How to track a No-show:
-
Refer to Appt Check In Column in Provider Portal. Click the No show button for the corresponding appointment
-
Select the no show reason in the 'Reason' drop down options
- Click Save to track no show
You will no longer be able to see appointment on the Provider Portal appointment page. If this was made in error please contact LQTC.
