MESSAGE FROM YOUR HOME & SCHOOL CLUB PRESIDENT As we head into a new school year, we are excited to meet our new and returning families, and we welcome you all to our FamLeigh! We are looking forward to a great year ahead! The goal of the Leigh Home & School Club is to support the academic and social/emotional needs of all of our students. The Home & School Club helps provide a bridge between home and school and enables all of us to be more engaged so that we can support all of the students and staff here at Leigh. It takes a village to raise a child... this is your village! Much of what we do to support our students and staff takes money. Our primary fundraiser is our Annual Giving Drive and our goal this year is to raise $30,000. To everyone who has already made a donation - thank you! Your donations ensure we can continue to support important programs such as classroom resources & supplies ($150 for each of our 76 teachers), staff grants, mental health programs, our new Wellness Center, speakers for our students, staff appreciation, campus beautification, and more. We invite you to donate online. Thank you for making a difference at Leigh! If you would like to donate a few hours of your time during the year, please take a look at our volunteer opportunities. Whatever your skillset, we will find a role for you. HOME & SCHOOL CLUB KICK-OFF MEETING Monday, August 15, 7pm - Zoom We invite you to join us for our first Home & School Club meeting of the year. View agenda. Hear first impressions of the new school year from Principal Ianora. Get first-hand updates from our teacher representative, student representative, College & Career Center Specialist, and Boosters (Sports, Spirit and PAPA). Get inside info on your Home & School Club's goals, objectives, and plans for the year ahead. Want more? If you are interested in really delving deep and learning more about our processes and budget, show up early! We will be discussing our HSC budget at 6pm, prior to the larger HSC meeting at 7pm. The first HSC meeting will be on Zoom (link below). HSC PRESIDENT'S COFFEE Tuesday, August 23, 12pm - Zoom Join HSC President Susan Smith and other HSC Board members for an informal get-together and Q&A on Tuesday, August 23rd, at 12pm. We will answer any questions you might have about our boosters, school etc., or help figure out who can help you. We hope you will find it helpful and we look forward to seeing you!

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT! Thursday, August 25, 6:00PM (Community Welcome at 5:30PM) Join us at 5:30pm in the Leigh quad before you head to your child's classroom. This is a great way to meet other parents and to hear our amazing student musicians! Several Leigh groups, including Booster Clubs - Home & School Club, PAPA, Spirit Boosters and Sports Boosters - will have booths where you can learn more about our programs, donate, purchase apparel, and more. We look forward to seeing you there!

DONATE TO OUR ANNUAL GIVING DRIVE The goal of the Leigh Home & School Club is to support the academic and social/emotional needs of all of our students. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES We would like to invite you to join our team for the school year 2022-23. All skills and interests are needed. We typically have a variety of projects such as community building, financial management, communications, fundraising, project planning, gardening, writing, technology support, volunteer coordination, student club support, College & Career Center support, etc. We also need parents for annual projects such as the Stampede 5K Run/Walk scheduled for May 20th, 2023, and Senior Grad Night in June 2023. Being on the board or on one of our committees is a great way to support Leigh, to learn more about our school, and to get to know other parents in the community!
