Attention Lenders:
Business Continuity Plan
Due to the potential of office closure posed by the COVID-19 virus, NJMHFA will begin to require pre-closing packages be submitted electronically in order to be eligible for review. Lenders who have not transitioned to electronic imaging will need to transition at this time or run the risk of your loans not being reviewed. NJHMFA is working to scan and upload files already submitted for underwriting review.
NJHMFA ILRS – Electronic Imaging Upload
NJHMFA has developed a process for the Electronic Imaging Upload of FTHB and Homeward Bound Loans via the ILRS. This process is in lieu of mailing a paper loan file to the Agency for the Pre-Closing Underwriting Review. Participating Lenders are required to complete a mandatory webinar on the Electronic Imaging Upload Process.
Webinars are available on the following dates via Business Skype:
Tuesday – March 17, 2020 – 2 p.m. EST

Additionally, the Agency plans to retire the paper package submission process once the office environment returns to normal. Effective June 30, 2020 paper loan file submissions will no longer be accepted for the Pre-Closing Underwriting Review Process for any loans. Any hard-copy files received after this date will be returned to the lender.
