NJHMFA Holiday Closure for Juneteenth

NJHMFA encourages all of our business partners and constituents to submit any and all documentation in an electronic format whenever possible as staff will continue to check email and review information submitted electronically.  

Attention Lenders:
NJHMFA Holiday Closure for Juneteenth
This bulletin is to inform Lenders that NJHMFA will be closed on Friday, June 16, 2023 in observance of Juneteenth, and will reopen for business on Monday June 19, 2023. Note that the New Jersey observance of Juneteenth is different from the Federal Holiday observance. See below for impact to loan pipeline management.
Reservations: Our system will not allow reservations on Friday, June 16, 2023, but will be open on Monday, June 19, 2023.
 
Pre-Closing Review: As NJHMFA will not be open on Friday, June 16, 2023, Lenders are encouraged to plan accordingly and submit files early to allow enough time for both the initial review and any resubmission for outstanding conditions. 
 
Purchasing Time Frames:  The holiday closure will impact purchasing time frames for the week; the purchase schedule is outlined below.
  • Police and Fire loans will be purchased and wired on Thursday, June 15, 2023; this is a change from our typical Friday purchase date for the program.
 
  • First-Time Homebuyer, Homeward Bound, and HFA Advantage loans will also be purchased and wired on Thursday, June 15, 2023; this is a change from our typical Wednesday/Friday purchase schedule.
