Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent and we hope to see you at our services at St. David’s. Youth Group this Sunday, March 10 will discuss what an apology is, how to give it and how to receive it. It is something that we all have to do and for some reason it is quite difficult.
The survey is still live until Monday, March 11, at 9am. Please take a couple of minutes to give the youth group helpful information to meet the ministry needs of youth.
Read below also for the most recent Pew Research study summary on the concerns and challenges of being a teen in the U.S. today.
Have a Holy Ash Wednesday.
Survey Still Open
The survey for Youth Group is still open! If you are a parent, youth, or leader, and have not yet filled out the survey, please take a couple of minutes to benefit our program. Thank you!  Click on survey here
Ash Wednesay
Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. We mark this day in worship at 12, 6 (family friendly) and 7:30. We invite you into this season of Lent at St. David’s. We mark this time with practices (maybe giving up chocolate as one of the favorites).  Perhaps you may pick up the St. David’s Bible Challenge just for Lent. Or maybe you pray more frequently. What might you do this Lent to set it apart?
Youth Group Discussions
Youth Group is on this Sunday, March 10, between 4:30 and 6:30. We will discuss apologies! Everyone has to give and receive them throughout their life and yet they are not always given nor received well. Come explore this topic while also having fun fellowship with your friends.
Reach Talent Show!
All are welcome to the REACH talent show and silent auction which is coming up on March 16 after the Satrudays@6 service. Even if you are not going (and perhaps especially if you are not going) you will want to check out this annual event and support our mission trip to Uniontown, PA, this summer! All proceeds go to benefit the REACH mission trip!
Teen Challenge
The atmosphere of being a teen has changed even in the past 10 years and even in the past 5. Pew does a great job of aggregating facts and presenting data in a digestible way. We may draw our own conclusions but see what the trends are. Many of the facts are not surprising and others are for the better and the worse.  Click on article here
