Our most gracious and loving Creator,

During this season, we are especially mindful of our own past of personal sacrifices for the forty days of Lent.

We pray that going forward, instead of depriving ourselves of something we enjoy, let us instead learn to give up those actions that separate us from others.

We pray we can learn to use our spirituality to foster connection, understanding, and compassion for ourselves and those around us.

Let our mind, body, and spirit be truly free to focus on how we can enrich our lives and the lives of others, so that we can be examples of Your love.

We pray for the people of MCC, its churches, ministries, and leaders around the world. We were all created in Your likeness; now let us live in the way we were created.

In Your holy name we pray, Amen.
