Lent at Lex Pres

February 17 - April 3, 2021

What is “Lent?”

Lent is the season before Easter where we try to walk with Jesus. His life, ministry and death are remem- bered during this season. It’s also a time to think about how God is with us all the time. You may do this through prayer, reading the Bible, helping others or something else. Anything that connects you to God is a great practice. Even walking the dog, seeing the green grass or hearing chirping birds might be a way to be with God.

Ash Wednesday

Our Ash Wednesday Zoom service will be February 17, 2021 at 7PM.

Individual packages of ashes can be picked up outside Murray Hall.

The Zoom link will be sent out Tuesday afternoon via Realm.

  • "Lent with Pastor Kelly-Ann" – Each week during the "Time with the Youth" sessions, Pastor Kelly-Ann will engage the youngest of the church with scripture and 6 "surprise" symbols of the Lenten season. She aims to guide the young people as they reflect on what Lent is and how we observe it.

Adult Lent Ministries

Join the Koinonia Sunday School Class led by Pastor Kelly-Ann for a Lenten journey guided by the book Lent in Plain Sight by Jill Duffield.

Using Jill's devotions and prayers, we will explore how God uses the ordinary things in our lives,

"so perhaps we might hone our sense of the holy, to the point we feel God's presence every single moment of our lives."
