Have you ever noticed that the story of Jesus’ final days is told differently by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John? You may even wonder at times if it’s even the same story. Yet, each story points to the same resurrection hope. This Lenten season, join one of our small groups as we reflect on Jesus’ passion through the lens of each Gospel writer in Matt Rawle’s book, The Final Days: A Lenten Journey through the Gospels. We’ll discover how these diverse stories help to complement one another and give us a deeper understanding of Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection. Available on Amplify Media.

Between Two Mountains

As Peter, James, and John traveled up the Mount of Transfiguration, little did they know how differently they would see Jesus in the following moments and days. In their journey with Jesus towards the Mount of Calvary, they, too, would be transformed Between Two Mountains, in the valleys where Jesus poured out love, grace, and compassion. How might Jesus continue to fill us on the mountains and lead us in the valleys as vessels of love, grace, and compassion today? If you’re watching online this week, join us in offering your bread and juice at home as we celebrate communion together.

Vesper Service Thursday

Thursday at 7 p.m. on Facebook

Unwind, relax, reflect, and connect with God.

Loving as God Loves

Loved by God, you are called to express God’s love to others. This is not always very easy and people are not always easy to love; however, because God loves us so deeply, we are to share God’s love, even when it’s not easy. Tune in to consider how you can become an expression of God’s love in your daily life.

Women's LIFE Friday

Fridays March 7 - April 11

9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Parlor or on Zoom

Sermon on the Mount This Lent we invite you to join us as we focus in on The Gospel of Matthew, chapters 5-7, with one of this group’s favorite authors, Dr. Amy-Jill Levine. We’ll be digging into the Beatitudes, the Lord’s Prayer and many other familiar passages. The book is optional, but we encourage participants to read the Bible passages. Discussions will be based on Amplify Media videos shown in class. For more information or to order a book ($17) contact Nancy Fidler at 248-933-1981.

Seeker’s Study

Mondays, March 10 - April 14

1 - 2:30 p.m. in the Parlor & Zoom

All are welcome to join the study of Parables...Putting Jesus’ Stories in Their Place. When Jesus taught in parables, he was doing more than telling simple morality stories. They were grounded in the world in which he lived and his vision of God’s kingdom. Josh Scott invites us to give these stories a fresh hearing in their own context and how we may meet God through them in our own time. Order books at Cokesbury or your favorite book seller. Contact Judy May at 586-242-1555.

Coffee Hour Hosts Needed

If you enjoy a good cup of coffee before or after worship, please consider serving as a coffee hour host. Share your gift of hospitality and volunteer once or on a reoccurring basis. Both youth and adults are welcome to help. Sign up
