Tuesday - Fifth Week of Lent
March 20, 2018
When I read today's Psalm 102:2-3, 16-21, I felt sorrow for the person who was in such despair. I thought of how difficult life must have been back in those times. Through his lamenting, he still praised God. He knew God was the only hope for him and his people. That is what we must remember through difficult times; whether sickness, times of trial and tribulation, or death, we must turn to God. He hears our prayers. Whether He sheds tears for our sorrows or answers our prayers, we must trust in His wisdom.
When I anguish through troubling situations, I remember how our Blessed Mother suffered terribly watching her son and Lord being tortured and killed. Though she felt great sadness, she knew it was God's will and she always does God's will. Even Jesus said to God the Father, "let thy will be done."
