Thursday - Third Week of Lent
March 8, 2018
Today in Jeremiah 8:24 we read, "But they obeyed me not, nor did they pay heed." This reminds me when my children were little we went to K & K Hardware to do an errand. Before we even got out of the car I re-iterated why we were there...needed a part to repair something, needed a key made, etc... I also stated the behavior that was expected. We stay together, we do not touch things, we are just getting what we needed.
You guessed it...as soon as we got in the store my kids ran in different directions, looking, touching, and wanting something not on the list! When I finally round up the kids I asked if they needed a hearing aid!
How many times Lord have I needed a hearing aid? The distractions and desires of the world can cause me to forget you and the mission you have sent me. Forgive me. Have mercy on me- a sinner. Please give me a heart more in love with you so I will not forget you ever again. Amen.
