Living so deeply in the wilderness of a pandemic has pushed me to find my daily path by starting and ending my days with a solemn prayer; giving thanks and blessing God for sustaining my life and the lives of my family, friends, and neighbors, and for granting me the courage of hope, and a strength of faith to accept the things which I am unable to change in a new life.
Social media became a large part of my everyday living during the pandemic. I joined different groups with similar interests. Since I love to eat, learning to prepare and cook ethnic foods are highlights of these groups; I especially prefer the shortest time to prepare a meal!
Connecting with old friends and making new friends have been an inspiration. We share informative articles and even declutter our closets and trade a pair of shoes that we no longer favor or a blouse that no longer fits.
I also check in on seniors who live alone and sometimes, donate homemade sandwiches to the shelter.
I also spend 10 minutes of my day stretching and centering my body and find it does me a world of good.
Finally, I find hope in prayer, it lights my path.
