Lenten meditation for March 27, 2021

Lent is a time and season which allows us to explore how to recommit ourselves to God’s Mission.
Lent is a time to pause and celebrate the ordinary events in your daily life.
Lent is a time to reflect upon and gain an understanding of the beauty and simplicity of the ordinary and to marvel at God’s Creation.

Lent it also a time to ask questions:
What is one area of your life you need to see in a new light?
What is one way you can reach out to people beyond your parish community to extend "The Beloved Community" God has intended?

Reflecting on these questions of course takes some quiet time guided through prayers:

Loving God Let me hear and fulfill your invitation, "Come back to me.”
I have a longing to return to you and to remain focused on the true meaning of hope.
Show me the way to return.
Lead me this day in good works I do in your name
and send your Spirit to guide me and strengthen my faith.
Let me remember that hope not only desires something good for the future;
it expects it to happen.
It not only expects it to happen; it is confident that it will happen.
