God speaks to us in many ways, including through the Sunday scriptures.

"Now the people were filled with expectation,

and all were asking in their hearts

whether John might be the Christ.

John answered them all, saying,

“I am baptizing you with water,

but one mightier than I is coming.

I am not worthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals.... "

Lk 3:10-18

This Sunday, December 15th at 7:00 PM!

We are delighted to announce our Third Annual Festival of Lessons and Carols, a beautiful and reflective evening of music and scripture. The St. Anthony Choir will present a selection of beautiful music, alternating with sacred scripture readings from the Bible. Feedback from previous years has been deeply touching, with many attendees expressing how meaningful and moving the experience has been. This is an opportunity for us all to come together as we prepare our hearts for the Advent season and the joyous celebration of the birth of Jesus. We hope you will join us!

This Sunday, December 15th, 1pm - 3pm!

GOOD STEWARDS IN ACTION!

~This section of our newsletter is dedicated to honoring the incredible volunteers whose time, effort, and dedication help keep our church running smoothly and in great condition. From repairs to day-to-day operations, these selfless individuals play a vital role in our community.~

Christmas Cards And Booklets

This Christmas card and booklet set is mailed to the loved one of those who had a funeral this year at St. Anthony Church. Our volunteer, Kathleen P., has been mailing them out for a few years now. It’s just one of the ways we support those who are dealing with loss. This year, 48 sets will be mailed. Thank you Kathleen and to all of our volunteers! We appreciate all the work you do.

We Now Have A Space To Store Away Our Church Hall Tables And Chairs!

Thanks to John R. and John S., a large job was recently completed. An unused air-handler in the basement was removed, a structure to place in the hole, left from the removal, was made, installed, and hydraulic cement was used to seal the gaps. When the hall set-up needs to be changed, the extra tables and chairs need to be stored in a space that doesn't block any exits. New we have additional space for that purpose. For example, over 100 chairs needed to be moved and stored for the Ladies Guild Bazaar. We are grateful and blessed to have so many volunteers who donate time and talent here at St. Anthony!

New Prayer Cards

Thank you to Chris N. for initiating the replacement of prayer cards that are in the sacristy. These prayers are read by Father, Deacon, Altar Servers and Readers, prior to Mass. Shawn D. graciously donated the printing and laminating of the cards. We are continually blessed with the work of our volunteers!

Sanctuary Ceiling Fixed And Painted!

The leak, that caused the staining in the ceiling, was from the condensation pan for the air-handler. Getting to the pan was no easy task. The church was built around that particular unit. John S. helped create a path to the 60+ year old pan so that it could be replaced.

The work on the properties is never ending!

Family Mass Schedule 2024-2025.jpg

Please Read!

To the parents of young children:

Relax! God put the wiggle in children; don’t feel you have to suppress it in God’s house. All are welcome! Sit toward the front where it is easier for your children to see and hear what’s going on. They get tired of seeing the backs of other’s heads. Quietly explain the parts of the service and actions of the priest, ushers, choir, etc. Sing the hymns, pray, and voice the responses. Children learn liturgical behavior by copying you. If you have to leave the Mass with your child, feel free to do so, but please come back. As Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” Remember that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to the church, to God, and to one another. Let them know that they are welcome in this house of worship.

To the members of our church:

The presence of children is a gift to the church and they are a reminder that our congregation is growing. Please welcome our children and give a smile of encouragement to their parents.
