A MOTHER, A GUIDING LIGHT

I think of my Mother everyday, I hear her voice and see her smile and expressions and wonder what she would say or do in certain situations... if in my place...

I do not miss her now because she is with me. She has been gone fourteen (14) years and it feels like yesterday. I was fortunate, we used to do so many things together ...take long walks on the beach, spend entire days at a Museum, stand in line for three hours to watch a movie at a cinema (pre- Amazon, Netflix...), have lunch and or dinner after attending the Opera, a Musical, or just window shopping... and linger over coffee always talking about something.... (I did all the talking and she all the listening...) So, with her, My Mother, My Guiding Light, in mind, I salute all Mothers around the Globe... on this Mother's Day, May 12, 2024.
