Coco should be turning 18 this April.
To mark her birthday, Live Like Coco is partnering with County Park Friends on a special Earth Day fundraiser: We are making 1,800 seed bombs – a ball of
clay soil packed with native wildflower seeds – to plant in our community.
This seems like a project Coco would have loved. We always start thinking about her birthday when it starts feeling like spring. This is when the seed bombs she made and tossed at the cliffs around our neighborhood start sprouting a new generation of cheerful poppies.
Help us let love grow!
Starting today, you can buy 10-packs of seed bombs for $10 each to spread in your yard, school or at Chanticleer Park on Saturday April 17. All proceeds will help fund Junior Lifeguard scholarships at Simpkins Family Swim Center, a county parks program that Coco loved participating in during her summers.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating Coco and the things she believed in. We can't think of a more powerful way to symbolize our collective hope and resilience than by literally planting seeds in our community, together.
Buy seeds online starting today at Paypal.me/teamcoco. Please note “seed bombs” with your donation. Seed bombs will be available for pick up at Chanticleer Park in Santa Cruz on Saturday April 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a small ceremony at 3 p.m. Contact us for more information.
