Christie's Reflections
In my last message, I spoke about the importance of supporting nonprofit employees—not just as professionals, but as whole people. At OneSource, we’re committed to finding real ways to help our sector’s workforce thrive.
Today, I’m excited to introduce a new way we’re showing up for nonprofit employees: a self-care tip and special treat each month. This month -- a $100 Gift Card for someone who embodies the commitment to serving others while also prioritizing their own well-being. Each month will be different, with many months having treats available to all. Be sure to check out each month's treat in our newsletter and on social media. See below for how to enter this month's drawing.
We know that nonprofit professionals give so much of themselves every day. That’s why we want to reward an individual who understands that taking care of themselves isn’t selfish—it’s essential. The drawing winner will receive a gift card to use for some well-deserved self-care, whatever that means to them. Our original idea was to give away gift card for a “traditional” method of self-care, but upon some thought, we realized that self-care means something different for each one of us!
We hope you’ll take the plunge and enter the giveaway, because taking care of our sector starts with taking care of the people who keep it running.
In Solidarity,
Christie

If you work in a nonprofit, you know what it means to practice scrappiness. It’s practically in the job description. You take what you have—whether it’s a shoestring budget, an overworked-but-passionate team, or office furniture that’s seen a few decades—and turn it into something extraordinary.
Practicing scrappiness isn’t a weakness; it’s a superpower! It means you see possibilities where others see limitations. It means you can stretch a dollar so far it practically earns interest. It means you can take a pile of donated odds and ends, sprinkle in some creative marketing and a little feng shui, and deliver goods and services that lift spirits and change lives.
At OneSource Center, we don’t just cheer for nonprofits that practice scrappiness—we support them! We walk alongside other resourceful changemakers, offering tools that help turn “make do” into something incredible. Whether it’s affordable office essentials from our Common Good Store, leadership training that empowers your team, or expert consulting to help stretch your impact even further, we’re in this together.
By becoming a OneSource member, your nonprofit gains access to a wealth of resources designed to lighten your load and amplify your impact. Membership includes discounts on office furniture and supplies, exclusive access to leadership development programs, expert consulting, and a network of like-minded professionals ready to share insights and support. It’s a simple way to make sure your organization has everything it needs to keep doing what it does best—serving the community.
So here’s to the nonprofits that practice scrappiness—the magic-makers, the problem-solvers, the visionaries who refuse to let limited resources limit their impact. The world needs your creativity, your tenacity…and your ability to turn a little into a lot. If you need a little extra fuel for your mission, you know where to find us. Reach out to L-A Stopa to learn about OneSource membership and let’s make big things happen together!
