Let Us Do Good!!! 12/19/21
I rarely use any Version of God's Holy Bible than the King James Version,(The one that Paul wrote!!??-SMILE), BUT in this particular instance I wanted to speak in good ole Southern drawl plain English!!!
1 Corinthians 15:35-58 (GW)
35 But someone will ask, “How do the dead come back to life? With what kind of body will they come back?”
36 You fool! The seed you plant doesn't come to life unless it dies first.
37 What you plant, whether it's wheat or something else, is only a seed. It doesn't have the form that the plant will have.
38 God gives the plant the form he wants it to have. Each kind of seed grows into its own form.
39 Not all flesh is the same. Humans have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds have another, and fish have still another.
40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. Heavenly bodies don't all have the same splendor, neither do earthly bodies.
41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon has another kind of splendor, and the stars have still another kind of splendor. Even one star differs in splendor from another star.
42 That is how it will be when the dead come back to life. When the body is planted, it decays. When it comes back to life, it cannot decay.
43 When the body is planted, it doesn't have any splendor and is weak. When it comes back to life, it has splendor and is strong.
44 It is planted as a physical body. It comes back to life as a spiritual body. As there is a physical body, so there is also a spiritual body.
As I sat in the square of McDonough, GA last week enjoying the rare day of warmth and sunshine in the midst of a usual cold and miserable Georgia winter, I suddenly was startled by the sound of a tiny acorn hitting the pavement in front of the park bench I was perched on.
One small acorn!!!
I looked up to view the enormous oak tree it arrived from and marveled at the tree's audacity.
Just think-That enormous, mighty oak tree producing such a tiny and seemingly insignificant little acorn.
That tree had no idea what would happen to its seed it had produced-
NATURALLY, thousands and thousands of seeds, NEVER knowing if or when or what would become of its SEED!!!
But, you see, that is and was the oak trees main reason for life!!
To PRODUCE more seeds in the hope and PRAYER and BELIEF that the seed and seeds it was and had produced would carry on its life long after its life was over.
ALL of God and ALL of God's creation is similar!!
When you see God's rainbow, God produced the rainbow to remind you of His Promise:
Genesis 8:22 (KJV)
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 9:13 (KJV)
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
MANKIND, LIKE EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF LIFE, IS MADE TO PRODUCE!!!
Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
That is why we are here on this earth today-TO PRODUCE!!!
EVERYBODY and every business and every politic and every club and organization has one MAIN desire-TO PRODUCE more of the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every religion has its evangelists!!
Think of the Jehovah Witnesses knocking on strangers doors and the Mormon Church proselytes on their bicycles.
The politicians spouting their rhetoric proudly, all wanting to produce like believing seed.
Imagine that mighty oak tree again, producing untold numbers of mere acorns, never knowing if or when or where just one of its many seeds will sprout.
Every plant, tree, fish, animal alike-ALL producing like minded and equipped seed!!!
Ecclesiastes 11:1 (KJV)
1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
Ecclesiastes 11:6 (KJV)
6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
WE are here for a PURPOSE!!!
Some people speak of THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT-how that at this time of the year people seem to be more cheerful and concerned with their fellow man/woman.
But as Christians may each of us carry this spirit year round!!!
Today, may each of us spread that smile and that cheerful word to others...............
