Let Us Worship Together
March 15, 2020
A Word From Your Pastoral Staff
Good morning and welcome to worship as followers and seekers of God. Though our worship is in a different environment than our normal Sunday routine, we invite you to gather with your loved ones and offer your heart and mind toward praising and seeking God this morning. May each of us grow in 'becoming and helping others become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ' through our worship today.
Psalm 95:1-7
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
Come, let us bow down in worship,let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
Romans 5:6-11
Dr. Jim Baldwin

Who do you call on when you find yourself drifting further and further away from God? Jesus is our only hope!

Join us for our online sermon this week.

Romans 5:6-11
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!    Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Worship Through Song
God created us to be instruments with the ability to sing and make music. Music is an important part of worship and praise to God, Rejoice in the sound through this collection of worship songs.

Questions For Reflection
The scripture says, “When we were powerless Christ died for us.” Think of a time/situation when you felt powerless. How did you respond? Read Romans 5:5 . In light of what Christ has done for us, how could it shape your response to times when you feel powerless?

The scripture says, “When we were sinners, Christ died for us.” Take a minute to examine your life. Is there any sin keeping you from being all that God wants you to be? Read Romans 5:8 . Ask Jesus to set you free from bondage to that sin.

The scripture says, “When we were enemies of God we were reconciled by His blood.” Read Romans 5:10 . In what areas are you wrestling with God? Are you willing to surrender those areas to Him?
Kids Worship
Since we can't be together for Sunday School, check out the “Jesus Taught About Forgiveness” section of the Bible Studies for Life: Kids Family App or "Jesus Healed a Woman" on the same app for Preschoolers . You can download this FREE app onto your devices and learn the same Bible story at home that you would have studied in Sunday School. There are also games and activities.

Alternatively, your family can use Right Now Media to study the Bible together, or read from your favorite Children's Bible and watch our church's worship video .
Be sure to follow our FBC Wilmington Children's Ministry Facebook feed for videos, links and connections for you and your kids throughout the weeks ahead.
Attached is a COLORING SHEET for your family to do together to answer the question - What is God calling us to do right now? Could you buy an extra grocery gift card and porch drop or mail it to someone you know who might be stressing about groceries? Could you offer to run errands or do the shopping for someone at a higher health risk? Is there a single adult or senior adult in your neighborhood who you could call and check on in the days to come so that they aren't so isolated? What creative ideas can you dream up to share God's love in a new way in a new situation?
Our Response
Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Presenting Our Offering
The congregation is encouraged to present your  financial offerings securely online (Click HERE) , by mail or by calling the church office and setting up a bank draft to keep the church financially strong as we will continue to be involved with our mission partners that depend on us.
