February 2014

It doesn't matter what industry you are in, finding new customers is the key to growing your business. While it is important to retain your existing customers, it is critical for business owners to develop strategies around finding new ones and in this month's newsletter, White Glove is going to help you!

Top Ways to Find New Customers:

  1. Advertising - a great way to find new customers is to advertise in trade publications in your industry or in the industry you are targeting.  For example, if you sell equipment to the food industry look at advertising in food manufacturing publications.  Let us help you design a creative advertisement that will catch the eye of potential customers!
  2. Database mining through Hoovers - another great way to target a specific industry or geographical area is to use a service such as Hoovers.  Hoovers has information on over 90% of listed companies in your industry and sorts them in over 100 ways to suit your requirements.  Let White Glove help you by creating the search and contacting the new database!

  3. Previous contacts - do you have stacks of old business cards? Let us go through them and follow-up on previous leads/contacts.  We can contact these clients on your behalf, update their status and add their contact info to your CRM.

  4. Host "open houses" or "Lunch and Learns" - invite new clients to your office or off-site location.  Show them what is new in your industry.  Lunch and Learn's have proven to be a very effective  way to share knowledge and gain credibility.  Let White Glove help organize the logistics and send the invites!

  5. Trade Shows - being an exhibitor at a trade show is a great way to brand your company as an expert.  It also allows you the opportunity to host target accounts and show them new equipment, services, etc.  White Glove can help with trade show logistics - such as booking a booth, arranging for furniture, shipping trade show materials and coordinating all of the marketing around the event.

  6. Social media - connect online! It is a great way of opening your business up to a nationwide or even international customer base.  Let us help you with your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube updates!  Posting on a regular basis is a great way of promoting your business.

  7. Old-fashioned Google search - If you are already successful in a particular industry, sometimes looking online at associations and various websites can find you other potential customers. Let White Glove help with this market research.

So many times we focus on our existing customers and forget we need to be recruiting new ones.  Finding time to do this can be a challenge. Contact White Glove to see how we can help! We specialize in becoming an extension of your business.
