New Rebates for EV Chargers and Solar Battery Storage

OCPA is reinvesting $250,000 in rebate programs to help customers purchase EV chargers and home solar battery storage systems.


Now Available: Charge@Home EV Charger Rebates

Get up to a $1,000 rebate for residential Level 2, hard-wired EV charger purchased through the OCPA Marketplace. Most chargers range from $500-$700, making them no-cost to customers after the rebate. 


To find a certified electrician to install your new EV charger, visit the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP).


Coming July 2025: Solar Battery Storage Rebates

This program will offer customers a $1,000 rebate for installing rooftop solar with battery storage or for adding standalone battery storage at home. More details will be available soon at ocpower.org

OCPA's Energy Efficiency Kit Saves Customers Energy and Money

Simple changes, from LED lightbulbs to smart plugs and weatherstripping, can make a big impact in both saving energy and money. That’s why OCPA created the Energy Efficiency Kit, available through the OCPA Marketplace at no cost for OCPA customers!

Procurement Masterclass: Comprehensive Guide to Applying for Agency Contracts

OCPA will be featured in an upcoming series hosted by the Pacific Asian Consortium Employment (PACE-LA). The four-part masterclass is designed to equip small business owners with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to succeed at identifying and applying for procurement opportunities, including with Orange County Power Authority!

The CalCCA Conference Hosted in Irvine

From April 28–30, more than 870 community energy leaders came to Irvine for the 2025 California Community Choice Association (CalCCA) Annual Conference. OCPA is proud to have helped bring this event to Orange County!


Under the theme “Powerful Together,” the conference hosted community energy providers, regulators, policymakers, and partners from across the state to share strategies for advancing clean energy and local power.


OCPA Vice Chair James Mai delivered opening remarks at the three-day conference – and OCPA Chair Susan Sonne moderated a lively panel discussing civics and legacy. The conference contributed over $800,000 in local economic impact!
