The "Season" has started. This is a term we locals use to describe the influx of visitors (snowbirds) to our area. The "Season" also signals the beginning of social soirees & events that occur during this time. Businesses thrive, restaurants fill up, humidity drops and there is a festive spirit in the air. It is also a time when visitors decide they want to own a piece of this warm winter paradise.

In  Curbed 2018 Real Estate Markets to Watch,  Fort Lauderdale r anked the sixth hottest market on ULI's annual survey . The article cites that
Fort Lauderdale is emerging from Miami's shadow. The city has become a lot more hip, especially in the eyes of developers. The formerly sleepy downtown has been infused with new condos, rail connections, and arts districts. Visitors to Ft Lauderdale this "Season" will enjoy many new restaurants and entertainment venues. They will also be amazed at the continued development of the downtown neighborhoods.
