Dear CSK Chaverim

Passover is right around the corner, starting Friday night, April 15, and Congregation Shaarei Kodesh is ready to celebrate!

HOW TO KASHER YOUR KITCHEN

THE SEARCH FOR HAMETZ

SELLING YOUR HAMETZ
On Passover, Jews are forbidden from eating, or even owning hametz; food containing wheat or other grain products that have had an opportunity to ferment or rise. It is customary to sell all hametz owned to a non-Jew through an intermediary.  (DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, April 13, 2022, 9:15AM) Click Here to sell your Hametz

MA'OT CHITIN
It is also customary to give extra charity at this time of year for Ma’ot Chitin, special funds set up within the Jewish community for whom the process of preparing for and celebrating the holiday would otherwise be difficult.  (DEADLINE WEDNESDAY, APRIL 13, 2022, 9:15AM) Click Here for Ma'ot Chitin
