I hope you are having a great Spring! It's hard to believe that soon, many families will be winding up another school year!

There are a few updates that impact District 6 that I wanted to share with you all today!

First, and foremost, tomorrow, we will be welcoming Florida's Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson to the chambers for our proclamation honoring Together We Grow: Agriculture Day in Palm Beach County. We'll be celebrating the important role our farmers, and the businesses who support their efforts, mean to our county. I hope you all can join us!

There is also an update on the timeline for the Project Tango vote, which is detailed below. PLEASE continue to make your voices heard, in civil and productive ways.

ITID experienced another culvert collapse last week, and we've included the information they have provided to the county below, so you can be aware of the closure, and what to expect in the future.

My Best, Sara

The applicant for the Central Park of Commerce Center (“Project Tango”), ZV/DOA-2025-01602, has requested a postponement of the scheduled April 23, 2026, Board of County Commissioners (BCC) Zoning Hearing to July 15, 2026. The request was submitted by Carlton Fields, the authorized agent for the project.

As this was administratively postponed, it will appear under the Postponements section of the April agenda, with no vote required by the BCC.

Any additional updates will be posted on the Zoning Division website as they become available throughwww.pbc.gov/pzb. Any questions, please contact the Planning, Zoning & Building Department at (561) 233-5008.

An update on the culvert collapse in ITID:

130th Trail North, just north of 77th Place N

An east/west conveyance canal with a double pipe experience a culvert collapse on April 9th, though only one pipe collapsed, along the eastern edge of roadway and canal slope. ITID has shut down the roadway.

It doesn't impact any homeowner to ingress/egress their properties. At this time, ITID cannot provide a timeline for completion, and they are going to replace both pipes because they are of similar age.

As ITID notifies the county of the anticipated delivery of the pipes necessary to fix the collapse, they will provide a more accurate timeline on the project, and we will share that information as we receive it.
