Thurs., Oct. 8, 1 pm: Zoom Lunch and Learn: “What the Health?” Join staff from New Canaan Library as they discuss how to find reliable health information online. Participants will have a Lunch delivered to their homes. Free. RSVP.
Wed., Oct. 14, 10 am: Ladies’ Coffee at Staying Put. Enjoy the fall weather at a distanced visit at Staying Put with friends. You provide the conversation while we provide the coffee and treats. Raindate: Fri., Oct. 16. Free. RSVP. (Note: new time.)
Thurs., Oct. 15, 11:30 am: Zoom Lunch and Learn: “Memories and Meet Up with Marcy.” Marcy Rand, Senior Services Coordinator at Human Services, will lead us on a trip down Memory Lane with a discussion of favorite childhood memories and lessons learned. Participants will have a Lunch delivered to their homes. Free. RSVP.

Lifetime Learners Institute

Lifetime Leaners Institute (LLI) is a non-profit organization of adults 50 and over. Located physically at Norwalk Community College, in the time of COVID, LLI offers classes and other programs via Zoom. Each paid course is only $30. 

The Fall 2020 session started September 21, but it is not too late to check it out. Go to the website: www.lifetimelearners.org.

Thurs., Oct. 1, 1 pm: Sign up for a special Zoom program: “Navigating CT’s Absentee Ballot Process.” Co-hosted by Lapham and the League of Women Voters, it will provide an overview of the Absentee Ballot Process and instructions on how to complete the absentee ballot form. Sat., Oct. 3, 10 am to 1 pm: New Canaan Artisans Tent Sale at the New Canaan Farmer’s Market. The Artisans will be selling a selection of beautifully handcrafted children’ sweaters. All proceeds go to local charities. 

Fri., Oct. 16 & Sat., Oct. 17: 35th Annual Rotary Lobsterfest. The Rotary’s traditional Lobster dinner (plus chicken and salmon options) will be available for curbside pick-up at the Waveny Pool Pavilion. Order at www.newcanaanrotarylobsterfest.org. Call Staying Put by Mon., Oct. 12 to arrange for free delivery by a Rotarian. $50.
