Beginning June 5, City of Milpitas restaurants can now offer outdoor dining! Get out of your house, and safely enjoy a delicious meal with your family at your favorite restaurant!
Restaurants – The City of Milpitas Planning Department has developed Temporary Outdoor Dining Guidelines to assist you in opening for onsite meal service. For Temporary Outdoor Dining Guidelines and to register your outdoor dining space,
Local restaurants are now allowed to serve sit-down meals outdoors – provided they meet strict safety and social distancing guidelines. Even restaurants that do not normally offer al fresco dining may now
temporarily provide outdoor service. Restaurants must post and enforce approved social distancing guidelines. New rules for outdoor dining include:
• Only members of the same household may be seated at a table together.
• No more than six per table.
• Tables must be at least six feet apart.
• Capacity will be limited, so reservations are strongly encouraged.
