Request Your Visa Documents
The iNewStudent.ucsd.edu page will explain the steps of applying for your I-20 (for the F-1 visa) or your DS-2019 (for the J-1 visa) through the iPortal. The deadline to apply for this document is August 1, 2020.

ISPO Services During Coronavirus
We hope you are all keeping safe and healthy. The International Students & Programs Office and UC San Diego knows that this is a challenging time for all of our students, including newly admitted students like you. During this time of uncertainty, we will continue to keep you  updated on important developments   as it relates to your arrival at UC San Diego this fall, and we will continue to keep  ISPO advising services  open to everyone.
With that in mind, please note that ISPO is continuing to issue visa documents as normal (I-20s and DS-2019s). Please make you submit your document request via the  iPortal   as soon as possible so that we can process this for you in a timely manner.
NOTE: Our normal processing time for visa documents is 15 business days from the date of a complete iPortal application submission. The deadline to submit is  August 1, 2020
F-1/J-1 Student Visa Services
ISPO is aware of the closure of most visa processing services across the world. We are also aware that availability for many appointments is now after the start of fall quarter at UC San Diego. ISPO still wants to ensure you receive your visa documents in the event that this availability suddenly changes.
Our office is working closely with Undergraduate Admissions  to provide updated guidance  for you throughout the spring and summer should you be unable to secure an appointment before your program begins.
Join us for a series of informative webinars this spring and summer! ISPO will host the following webinar next week:
  1. Welcome to UCSD: First Steps | April 15 @ 8:30am PST

All webinars will be recorded and posted at iwebinars.ucsd.edu .
More information regarding orientation, housing, and other important pre-arrival information is coming soon! If you have any questions, contact us at   inewstudent@ucsd.edu.
