Let's Lead Montana
Despite recent workforce challenges, many Montanans remain committed to creating positive change in their local communities and are passionate about reducing the immediate and long-term impacts families often experience from poverty, substance use, mental illness, suicide, or violence. Creating positive change is never easy and requires strong leadership. Leaders who have the will to solve problems, leaders who can visualize new ways to solve problems, and leaders who can operationalize that vision by motivating others and implementing improved programs. Today’s leaders also need a strong set of foundational leadership skills and an ability to incorporate new technologies, generate useful data, measure their program’s impact, and effectively communicate the value of their efforts to other community leaders. In short, today’s leader needs to work smarter and be more versatile than ever before.

To help Montana’s current and future leaders acquire these skills, the University of Montana’s Center for Children, Families, and Workforce Development is hosting a monthly workshop series on the first Friday of each month at 9 am beginning Friday, November 5. The workshops will be led by former and current leaders who have decades of practice experience in Montana.

The Center for Children, Families & Workforce Development partners with the child protection, health, educational, and judicial systems to develop and deliver educational and training resources to professionals and caregivers statewide. We also conduct research that focuses on solving problems that impact children and families. Support comes from the University of Montana's College of Health and School of Social Work.
