Dear Habitat LA

Now is the time for bold action, and your vote can help create solutions for affordable housing. Measure A and Prop 5 give us the power to make our communities safer—by supporting more housing, preventing homelessness, and improving infrastructure. By November 5, 2024, you can back programs that work and help ensure Los Angeles is a safe place for everyone.

In LA County, an estimated 75,312 people experience homelessness, with 52,365 lacking shelter. Measure A, placed on the ballot by over 400,000 LA County voters, will continue funding for homeless services and create new funding for affordable housing. Meanwhile, Prop 5 empowers local voters to address the needs of affordable housing and infrastructure in our communities.

What Will Measure A Do?

Measure A focuses on housing affordability, homelessness prevention, and accountability. It will:

  • Invest in homelessness prevention.
  • Support vulnerable renters.
  • Streamline affordable housing production.
  • Ensure funding is used effectively with citizen oversight.

What Will Prop 5 Do?

Prop 5 gives voters the power to approve bonds for affordable housing, essential infrastructure, and emergency services. It will:

  • Enforce strict accountability for local bonds.
  • Create more affordable housing for low- and middle-income residents.
  • Develop the infrastructure needed for safe, thriving communities.
  • Safeguard your local tax dollars.
