I want to invite you to join me for a very important and special prayer time on Thursday, February 28, 9 am until 2 pm for Prayer. I want to challenge you to start this new year with a renewed emphasis on prayer. As we launch a strategic planning process, to chart the future of our association we must pray! It is that important!
The Lord Jesus Christ saw the importance of prayer and emphasized it by His practice. “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed to a solitary place, and there prayed. (Mark 1:35)
The apostles saw the necessity to pray and it is recorded, “the disciples might unhindered, give themselves to prayer and the ministry of the word. (Acts 6:4)

Baptist Collegiate Ministry is over the 250 mark and continues to expand not only with students but with ministries and activities as well!
Discipleship takes center stage this semester with groups meeting in Gatherings, Men’s Small Group, Women’s Small Group and Coed Bible Study as well as an evening coffee hour.
Our BCM Missions emphasis went well with the students raising over $1000 last year and now well on their way to meet their $1250 goal for this year. Great Exchanges will happen for us again taking place on
February 12, March 12 and April 25, 2019
.
Keep BCM in your prayers as we start back that we continue to help students to “know Him and make Him known” on this campus!

The Super Bowl is
the number one event where human trafficking rates skyrocket,
FBC most recently
served as a call center Jan. 25-26, with volunteers searching through online ads in attempts to reach girls wanting to escape the trafficking industry.
The church has also provided a house that 4Sarah uses as a safe home for women coming out of the sex industry.

The Stone Mountain Baptist Association's Church Planting School gives participants a strong foundation for starting a new church.
|

|
Church Planting School kicked off on January 27th! 18 students present. Pray for those teams that are called to reach the unreached.

- Newton County Servant Leader's Meeting: Every Wednesday morning. 8 am at IHOP in Covington.
- Church Planter Roundtable: Meets every first Thursday. The next meeting is Thursday, Feb 7th, 9-11 am at Church at the Grove.
- Bi-vocational Roundtable: Meets Tuesday, Feb 12th, 7 pm in Conyers at the SMBA office.
- Dekalb County Ministers: Meets Monday, Feb 11th at Trinity in Ellenwood from 7-9 pm.
- Third Thursday Roundtable: Next meeting is Feb 21st 8-10 am at the SMBA office.
- Strategy Planning Meetings- March 28th and May 23rd at the SMBA office 8 am-noon.
