You Can Protect Our Youth as They Go
Back to School

Greetings!

This is a school year like no other.

In year's past, a parent's major concerns were academics and the social pressures their children would face like bullying, alcohol, drugs, promiscuity and other threats against their faith and morals.

Now, add to these, the additional worries of Covid-19 and the growing divide that seems to be plaguing every American institution to the point of aggression and even violence.

We, as parents and spiritual guardians, can place a hedge of protection around our young people, our sons and daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and our godchildren. Our children need not be helpless victims. Our children need not lose their sense of well-being or resolve. They need not be swallowed up in the quagmire of unhealthy social and cultural influences. Why? Because through our prayers and intercession, we can buoy them up and support them through these challenges.

We at Women of Grace, are here again to help you fortify your children and build a strong perimeter of protection around them and you by offering you our Back to School Novena of Masses.
At the beginning of this school season, Reverend Father Ayella Alfred Kizito, a priest of the Archdiocese of Gulu, Northern Uganda, is going to offer this Novena of Masses for your young people.

In a special way, we are asking that God would give you the wisdom and grace you need to guide your son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter, niece or nephew, godson or goddaughter through these perilous times.

If you are a teacher, catechist, or school administrator, know that we will be praying for you as well. We will be asking Our Lord to give you a supernatural vision and fortitude to b ring the presence of Christ to your classroom in every way you can.

It is fitting that this special Novena of Masses will begin on August 27th, the Feast of St. Monica. Who better to intercede for our children to become all that God created them to be than St. Monica, mother of St. Augustine?

Click on the link below to submit your special intention for this Novena of Masses and to enroll your children. We invite you to join us in prayer using the prayer below, as we lift up your children to the Heavenly Throne of God.

Let's give our children the start they really need at the beginning of this school year - the spiritual protection and graces that come through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. In this way, we can do much to safeguard them, encourage them, lead them, and guide them.

These are unprecedented times and unprecedented times require unprecedented grace. Let's see what we can do together!

May God bless you and may the abundant life of Jesus Christ be yours.

In His Service and with gratitude,
Johnnette Benkovic Williams
Founder and President

P.S. Should you desire to add a gift of support for these masses, you will receive in gratitude links to the Women of Grace television series, "Staying the Course: How to Accompany Your Child Through Crisis" with Judy Klein.

PRAYER TO ST. MONICA

Exemplary Mother of the Great Augustine,

you perseveringly pursued your wayward son,

not with wild threats but with prayerful cries to heaven.

Intercede for all parents, guardians, and spiritual parents in our day

so that we may learn to draw our children to God.

Teach us how to remain close to our children,

even prodigal sons and daughters

who have sadly gone astray.

Amen.
