Don’t miss out!! The OML conference will present an array of informative and pertinent sessions

  • Adria Berry – SQ 788. Where do we go from here? Ms. Berry is Vice President of Government Affairs for the State Chamber of Commerce. During this session, she will dissect the new medical marijuana laws and help to shed light on the current state of affairs surrounding this new industry.
  • Alicia Hibbets – Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – What Do You Know? Ms. Hibbets is the Director of Programs at the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Her informative presentation will include important questions and answers, such as do you know what CDBG is? Do you know what type of projects can be funded with CDBG? If you answered “No” to these questions, this session is for you!
  • Chuck Claxton – Deputy Chief, Cushing Police Department. The session is entitled, Community Policing/Community Engagement and Special Olympics. In this session, we will discuss ways to have your local police departments become more involved in community policing and events.

Four officials have been tapped to be honored as the 2018 inductees into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame for City and Town Officials ceremony. The event will be held at the Cox Convention Center in conjunction with the Oklahoma Municipal League annual conference, September 13. The OML Mayor of the Year and Don Rider award winners will also be recognized at this event . More Information

Don’t Delay – only a few seats left for our pre-conference Grant Writing Session.

WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM ATTENDING THIS WORKSHOP:  Mayors, City Managers, City Clerks, Emergency Managers, Fire Chiefs, Police Chiefs, Business Owners, Community Leaders or anyone interested in learning more about grants and grant writing. 
CREDIT HOURS:  This workshop will count for 6 hours for the OML Certified Municipal Officials program.

Beer, Wine and Gift Card Pull Donations
It’s not too late to help us help others during the Beer, Wine and Gift Card Pull! OML is partnering with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help raise money and awareness of their efforts to assist Oklahoma families by providing food to them.

All you have to do to be a part of this special project is provide craft beer, wine or gift cards from retail businesses or restaurants to the conference. And, you can also purchase the ‘pulls’ and participate in the fun!!

If you are a business and donate your beer, wine, or gift card, your company’s name will appear in our event program, in the event app, and on the event website.

To arrange a drop-off or a pick-up of your contribution before the conference, please contact  Ginny Wilson  via email or by calling 405-528-7515. Donations may also be made at the OML office, located at 201 N.E. 23rd, Oklahoma City, Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
